Spiritual Olympics 2008

As the 2008 Beijing Olympics are well on their way, and many gold medalists have been declared. Also in the Heavenly realms, The Spiritual Olympics have begun with the Gold medal being the Kingdom Of Heaven. So, as all who compete in the games train day after day for years ,so also we must train hard for our Eternal home.

Philippians 3:13- Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward the goal for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 9:24- Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the Prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it for a crown that will last forever.
